All this talk about KanYe West vs. 50 Cent in album sales on 9-11-07...makes me fucking spit straight on the floor. Hip Hop is suppose to be about the music not about the sales. Everyone knows that "Fiddy" isn't Hip Hop. All he does is talk about fucking diamonds, money, cars, club, women. Is this music or a confession to how stupid he is? Kanye isn't any better with his retarded wardrobe. What matters is who's going to bring the heat come the album release date. Now you ask, "Devon, What album are you copin'?" Then you know I reply with "Neither Nigga, But I am downloading Kanye's shit SON!"

You can't deny that Stronger is the fucking shit. Daft Punk's famous track remix with the "Ye" touch, is unstoppable. Also after listening to the new Common album Finding Forever, the rebirth of real Hip Hop has emerged. On top of him having #1 Sales for 2 weeks straight. Break My Heart has the reminesant feel of me and my dead uncle driving at night on my way to visit my consin's. Just kicks me right in the heart with the real tunes. The People is just straight up music. That beat is silly. Start The Show is my new found addiction.

Guess who produces all the music though? Mr. West himself. Which makes me defaultly buy Grauation on 9-11-07. But if I had to pick between Ye or 50, I choose Common. It's the first taste of Hip Hop thats topping sales charts without talking about fucking materialistic shit. Makes sense?

What's the last thing you usually do or think about before you fall asleep?

The sleeping ritual usually goes:

• Get dessert and drink
• Eat and watch something on youtube or pop in a DVD
• Set alarm on DS
• Depending on mood, Slap DVD/PC on 90 Min. sleep mode or lay my iPod headphones under my pillow with enough volume to hear the music through it (with a 90 Min. sleep setting also).

Lately, I've been have the luxury of having someone talk to me until I'm sleepy. Then when I get off the phone, I'm dead tired and just roll over and pass out!

How many languages can you speak?  Which languages can you read or understand?

 

Well I can only speak 1 language fluently, but i have a very deep understanding of Spanish after taking it for 3 years (2/3 Years Honors) in High School. I'm currently learning Japanese from Josh but he has a weird fixation on teaching me Korean at the same time because he says it will be easier if I just learn both. But to answer the Question of the Day;

 

Speak: 1.5 Languages (English 1, Japanese .25, Spanish .25)

Read/Understand: 2 Languages (English 1, Japanese .5 [Kanji is a bitch], Spanish .5 [can read but dont know most vocab.])
